description

This summer, Dr. Karleen Giannitrapani partnered with Stanford Medical Humanities & the Arts to teach Video Games for Health, an interdisciplinary course for high school students. Bringing together medicine and new media, the program introduced students to health challenges through the creative process of designing their own games. Combining scientific inquiry with artistic practice, students explored how interactive media can foster empathy, promote well-being, and inspire new approaches to healthcare innovation.
